The Good Habits for a beautiful you

The 10 Commandments of Beauty
The most effective cosmetic ingredients for this purpose are glycerine, liposomes, ceramides and sphingolipids. If you have very dry skin, choose a rich cream with any of the above ingredients.
Rule 2 Exfoliate
The layer of dead cells on your skin surface will make you have a dull complexion. This is caused by stress or lifestyle choices such as smoking and staying up late where skin regenerates itself every 28-days but this cycle may sometimes be slower.
Rule #3 Exercise
Take at least 30 minutes walk each day if you hate running, or at least walking. Sitting whole day at our desks, driving for hours, then plonking ourselves in front of the TV for another few hours. When are we ever going to get up and exercise?
Exercise provides a fit and healthy body, loose weight, lose flabby tummy, and tone up muscles. You will look gorgeous and will be attracting envious glances. But what’s most important, exercise helps prevent diseases and strengthen your cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
Rule #4 Drink sufficient water
Everybody knows drinking of at least 8 glasses of water make you fresh everyday. Water makes up 60% of the human body and it evaporates through the skin whether hot or cold air, low humidity, frequent contacts with water or cleansing solutions from the protective layer, and skin loses its natural ability to hold moisture.
When water level in the skin drops by 10%, the skin becomes dry, itchy and flaky. That is why you should drink sufficient water everyday to replenish moisture. Furthermore water helps to clear skin as it helps drain toxins from the body, improves blood circulation and hence clearer looking complexion!
Rule #5 Eat healthily
Your body lives on what you feed it with. So it only makes sense that if you eat healthy, you get healthy. Eat well and you’ll look good.
The nutritious food must consists of vitamins A, C and E such as berries, broccolis and carrots among many. Leafty green vegetables for its iron and zinc source. Iron helps your skin to get enough oxygen and zinc helps you to fight pimples. Eat more anti-oxidant food such as tomatoes, avocadoes, spinach, garlic, soybeans, nuts and seeds and of course vitamins rich fruits.
Rule #6 Double cleanse your face
We travel everyday and wear layers of makeup that by the end of the day, they’re more like grime and dirt rather than that pearlised foundation you had on earlier. Such dirt if not cleaned properly, will clog pores and lead to breakouts. Don’t think that cleansing religiously with a foam cleanser can be considered the job is done.
You may feel clean on the surface but your pores may still have dirt and oil stuck inside. Double-cleansing is the answer to solve the dry skin, massage well, and rinse with water. Then, only do you finish off with a foam cleanser for a thorough cleansing routine before applying other skin care products.
Don't forget to remove all the unwanted hairs on your face as well, preferably using epilator. This will last longer than shaving and less expensive than laser removal.
Rule #7 Protect with SPF
Besides cleaning your face thoroughly, you should apply an adequate layer of sunblock with a minimum of SPF25 whenever going outdoors. Sun light release harmful UV ray that causes many skin problems from cancer to pigmentation.
Most women afraid of the oily texture resulted from the applying sun block. But most sunblocks these days are oil-free based and comes with an SPF of 30. The correct way of doing it is use the correct amount, apply it properly and reapply often, and choose one with the most effective ingredients.
Rule #8 Relax
Stressing about looking beautiful might actually have the reverse effect. Just relax, Stress has been proven to cause premature wrinkles and dull complexion. Studies have shown that chronic stress – or even the perception of stress – significantly shortened the length of telomeres, the tips of chromosomes within cells that can be used as a measure of the cells’ ageing process.
Rule #9 Sometimes be a sleeping beauty
Get at least eight hours of it everyday. Sleep is important, your body is healing and repairing itself. For this reason, dermatologists often suggest using your most “active” skin creams before bed. But with or without expensive creams, a deep sleep every night helps your skin cells to regenerate properly. You wake up to a more radiant and healthy complexion not to mention avoiding puffy, bloodshot eyes and unsightly dark under-eye circles.
Rule #10 Do a hair deep-treatment
Your hair is as important as your skin. Don’t neglect your crowning glory just by shampooing and conditioning it. Book yourself an intensive hair treatment at a salon every month for a major hair-pampering session.
Sometimes pamper yourself to a package deal which works out cheaper then single sessions each time. In between, use a hair mask weekly to upkeep the moisture in the hair. To get the same salon effect, use a hot towel and wrap it around hair for about 10-15 minutes after applying the mask.
